Indicott Wildlife Photography Hide
We have a woodland bird hide available to hire 7 days a week all year round. The hide is situated near Barnstaple in North Devon.
Our hide is set up for the traditional bait and perch method, this is the best way to get the birds to perch where you want them. We supply a wide range of logs and branches as prop's which can be changed around so that you get a range of different images. You are also welcome to bring your own perches to the site to use.
Species that we currently have visiting regulary consist of - Nuthatch, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Robin, Siskin, Wren, Blue/Great/Coal/Long Tailed Tit, Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Blackbird as well as occasional visits from a Common Buzzard.
A typical hide day starts at approximately 8am and finishes around 4pm, but these timings can vary depending on the time of year.
We recommend that you shoot using either a 300mm or 500mm lens to enable you to get close up shots of the birds. We suggest you wear warm clothes as well as a decent pair of wellingtons or walking boots.

The price for the exclusive use of one person using the hide is £65.00 per day. If 2 people wish to share the hide, the price will be £50.00 per person. Payment can be either cash on the day or via bank transfer prior to your hide day.
The parking is right next to the wood, so only a short walk up to the hide is required.
